A different perspective on this wine: This vineyard belonged to Maine de Biran in Périgord (1766-1824), an illustrious philosopher, born in Bergerac, who became successively Deputy of the Dordogne, State Councillor under the Empire and the Restoration.
He liked to walk through his vineyard in Grateloup, between two meditations in his library.
This terroir, benefiting from the Pécharmant appellation, with its privileged exposure, has a subsoil of red ferruginous clay, which guarantees a quality product.
This cuvée is made from a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc.
