Description:
Ruinart is the oldest Champagne House created in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart.
Before it, there was no such thing. But its foundation is mainly due to a visionary Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart.
Located in underground chalk cathedrals, the wine matures slowly in the bottle.
The Ruinart Champagne cellars are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Chardonnay is the soul of the House of Ruinart. Its grapes are grown and harvested in the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, two terroirs from which we find the grape varieties at the heart of all Ruinart cuvées.
Le R is composed of 40% Chardonnay, 40 to 45% Pinot Noir and 10 to 15% Pinot Meunier. 20 to 25% of reserve wines over 2 years old make up this cuvée.
This subtle blend gives birth to this very fruity, lively but exceptionally elegant and refined Cuvée.
