Avian Flu 2022 in the Dordogne

Dear Customers,

This year, like many other competing companies, we are directly impacted by the Avian Flu. The massive slaughter of ducks and geese which has spread to the Dordogne after a large part of the South-West is causing a shortage of raw materials.

As you know, our products are labelled IGP Périgord and Foie Gras à Canard du Sud-Ouest, and our artisanal products are made only from Foies Gras, legs, breasts, etc. from our department and region. We do not import any products!

At the moment we have no visibility on our future supplies.

The deadline for new births of ducklings and goslings is 4 months after the recently declared fallow period.

There is therefore a good chance that we will not have any new raw materials until November or December, which means that production for the end of the year will suffer greatly.

Our stocks will therefore be reduced.

As a result, we are not currently able to offer the same promotions as in previous years. However, we have tried to adapt to this by offering you other deals.

We hope you will understand this particular context and thank you again for your loyalty.

We remain at your disposal for any questions or requests for quotes on 06 87 03 06 21.
